The Policy Open Comment Period is a mechanism that provides the Georgia Tech campus community an opportunity to have a voice in the policy process on newly proposed Institute policies and when substantial changes are made to existing Institute policies. You may submit comments via this Open Comment form. If you would like to sign-up for email announcements when policies open for Campus Comment click here.

There are currently three policies open for comment until December 11, 2025.

New - Foreign National Affiliates & Visitors Policy: This new policy outlines Georgia Tech’s administrative requirements for onboarding foreign national affiliates and hosting foreign national visitors on campus. It mandates that individuals must have appropriate immigration status before any appointment.

New - International Assignments Policy: This new policy requires Global Human Resources approval before any employee or affiliate works outside the U.S. for more than 30 days or permanently. The policy ensures compliance with international labor, immigration, and tax laws, and applies to all Georgia Tech employees and affiliates.

Combined – Payroll Regulations and Guidelines Policy: This policy consolidates multiple payroll policies to ensure timely and accurate employee payments in compliance with relevant laws and university system policies. It outlines key payroll components including payroll types, academic pay cycles, monthly and biweekly payrolls, pay group restrictions, overtime and compensatory time, as well as internal controls.
