The Policy Open Comment Period is a mechanism that provides the Georgia Tech campus community an opportunity to have a voice in the policy process on newly proposed Institute policies and when substantial changes are made to existing Institute policies. You may submit comments via this Open Comment form. If you would like to sign-up for email announcements when policies open for Campus Comment click here.

There are two policies open for comment until December 17:

New – Institute Training Policy:
This policy outlines the financial guidelines, record keeping requirements, and compliance with Board of Regents (BOR) policies for all employee training. It provides Georgia Tech employees involved in developing, planning, facilitating, or requiring training with essential information on mandatory training requirements, the mandatory approval process, and guidelines for voluntary training.

Updated - Administrative Faculty Leadership Appointments Policy (formerly known as the Administrative Leadership Appointments for Tenured or Tenure-Track Faculty Policy):
The Administrative Faculty Leadership Appointments Policy outlines the procedures for appointing faculty members, whether tenured, tenure-track, or non-tenure-track, to administrative leadership positions at Georgia Tech, on either a regular or interim basis. The policy clarifies the different types of administrative faculty appointments, the nature of contracts, and the duration of these appointments. Additionally, it specifies the steps required for reappointment to an administrative role. The policy has been updated to align with recent updates in the Georgia Tech faculty handbook regarding administrative faculty appointments. The existing policy can be found here: https://policylibrary.gatech.edu/academic-affairs/administrative-leadership-appointments-tenured-or-tenure-track-faculty-policy.
